It had felt pretty good asserting myself this morning on what I wanted. And although I’d come off cool and collected as I stated it, my heart had been racing a million miles an hour. Who wouldn’t be nervous at the aspect of dating more than one person? That wasn’t the norm. It wasn’t something that was welcomed in society with open arms. Hell, it took forever for gay rights to even have a voice in modern days. That in itself was something to celebrate, so why did it matter if people got involved in a situation where it was okay to be with more than one person?

My life had been anything but normal and who was I to deny myself the chance to be happy. To feel safe and protected in the arms of not one, but three men who clearly had zero issues with the idea from their conversation I’d overheard this morning.

There was no telling how good or bad this could turn out. For now, I’d let things just flow the way they were supposed to. But I had to make sure that even though Nash and I had jumped into bed with each other so quickly, that it wouldn’t cause awkwardness.

“So, was what happened last night really okay with the other two?” I asked him.

After Grey and Jude left for work, Nash volunteered to drive me around to see the city and to make a stop at the Salty Dawg to meet Monte, who by the way, was actually named Montague Harris, but apparently would maim anyone who called him anything but Monte. We hoped he’d give me a job since I had experience working in a bar setting.

“Absolutely. Trust me, it would’ve been obvious if it hadn’t been. Those two aren’t the type to hide their feelings.”

“Good.” I paused for a moment, looking around the inside of the vehicle. “By the way, I pegged you guys all wrong.”

He glanced at me from the driver’s seat with a confused expression. “You didn’t think we’d all be in agreeance with everything?”

I shook my head. “No. I thought Grey drove the truck. It surprises me.”

Nash laughed. “That’s what surprises you? You’re a funny girl, Alessa Dean.”

“I know.” I shot him a sly smile.

The drive to the Salty Dawg was a short one, taking only minutes to get there from the guys’ house. It wasn’t at all what I pictured.

The building itself was solid wood on the outside with a small deck porch added to the front. A metal wrought iron sign swung in the breeze with the bar’s name on it. It was surrounded by a gravel parking lot with several motorcycles parked outside. The neon Open sign in the window was off, but from the bikes and the lights on inside, I doubted it was closed.

Nash and I exited the truck and headed up the few stairs. He opened the door for me and motioned for me to go in.

Inside reminded me of a place you’d see old deep sea fisherman in movies drinking in.
